Watford Girl’s Grammar School’s brief was to create a sensitive addition of a new Drama Studio and additional classrooms to their existing Georgian style English block.
 
A contemporary and contextual 2 storey extension was created on the west side of the existing building, accommodating general teaching classrooms.

An elegant double height space, covered with a curved roof was added to the east side, with translucent wall panelling to providing a light, dynamic interior for the new drama studio, and linking to an external open-air stage at the front. The drama studio addition has become affectionately known by the school as as ‘The Curve’.
